Financial Controller - Outsourced CFO
There are Seven Core Competencies required for success in this role in a boutique chartered accounting firm

7. Familiarity with IT and accounting software:
  • i. Proficient skills in Excel and Office products;
  • ii. MYOB, Quicken and Xero accounting software;
  • iii. Accountants Enterprise, AE Tax, MAS and practice Management software
Responsibilities
Manage the Corporate Services Financial Accounting function and aiding the firm’s Corporate clients in:
  • Client treasury function, banking and FOREX
  • General ledger maintenance and performing multiple reconciliations for management and financial accounting purposes;
  • Reviewing financial activity for tax related impacts;
  • Preparing statutory financial accounts for full and half year periods and relevant work papers;
  • Preparing ASX related documents and disclosures as required;
  • Liaising with auditors throughout the audit process to finalise preparation of statutory financial statements;
  • Preparing accounting memorandums and position papers as a result of corporate transactions to demonstrate the impact of a transaction on the client/financial statements per the AASB’s;
  • Financial modelling and review of company assets in a corporate finance/advisory capacity as required;
  • Reviewing and preparing valuations of company assets and companies as required;
  • Assisting the Director with corporate advisory, structuring, CFO, Company Secretarial and other duties and assignments as required;
  • Dealing with ASIC, ASX and ATO statutory bodies as a client and firm liaison when required;
  • Attending to clients directly and facilitating client engagement with the firm;
  • Being proactively business minded.
Supporting the business by:
  • Management of day to day: Work flow meetings for corporate work as required; 
  • Staffing co-ordination for corporate work as required;
  • Review of corporate work and staff mentoring/encouragement;
  • Client development and assisting in winning new work;
  • Carrying on all client dealings and relationships with due care;
  • Reporting concerns or queries to the Director;
  • Applying yourself in training or recommended reading to increase your knowledge base
  • Assisting in administrative tasks such as client file maintenance as required.

Qualifications:
Business Degree with CA/CPA Qualification

Australian PR or Citizenship is essential. Both doses of COVID 19 vaccination will be required for this position
