Intermediate Accountant/Analyst - Corporate Services

There are Seven Core Competencies required for success in this role in a boutique chartered accounting firm

2. Communication and promotion of the firm to attract and retain clientele

4. Maintenance of knowledge and ethics to the ICAA standard
5. Client management, communication and liaison
6. Compliance awareness
7. Familiarity with IT and accounting software

High proficiency skills in Excel and Office products as well as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks accounting software.

Responsibilities Supporting clients and the Corporate Services functions by performing:

  • Entry of data into client reporting systems to maintain their accounting system. Including the following tasks but not limited to:
  • Sales functions and debtors reconciliation
  • Payables functions and creditors reconciliation
  • Payroll
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Attending client sites if necessary relevant to facilitate completion of work
  • General ledger maintenance and performing multiple reconciliations for management and financial accounting purposes
  • Month end procedures
  • Analysis, data analytics, interpretation and reporting as required
  • Budget reporting
  • Inventory system management
  • Working to compliance due dates and managing tasks effectively to meet deadlines
  • Client interaction and professional communication
  • Providing assistance to in-house client accounts personnel as required
  • Assisting the Corporate Services team during client audits
  • Managing multiple clients and reporting internally to properly set and communicate client expectations;
  • Participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
  • Dealing with ASIC and ATO statutory bodies as a client and firm liaison when required

Supporting the business by:

  • Carrying on all client dealings and relationships with due care
  • Reporting concerns or queries to management
  • Applying yourself in training or recommended reading to increase your knowledge base
  • Assisting in administrative and client file tasks as required

Qualifications:
Business Degree with CA/CPA Qualification 9or near completion)

Australian PR or Citizenship is essential. Both doses of COVID 19 vaccination will be required for this position
